this is a confession. my humilation is complete. in a few blogs ago i mentioned the fact that i have a few light bulbs blown.
so today i to kmart to get some light bulbs (was actually shopping and stumbled upon the light bulb section and the light went on...hahaha...). so there i am looking at all these bulbs that are the new eco friendly ones and i have no idea and i mean nooooo idea. so i play the dumb female (not hard) and luckily along comes leni holt!!!! he helps me to buy the correct ones and i happily go home to install them.
nooo life could not be that simple!!!! i had to swallow my pride and ring a male friend to come and install the lights. this is due to the fact that the old bulbs had left bits in the socket and i could not get it out.
ohhh the humilation is complete. yes you do need a man to change a light bulb. boohoo tear drop tear drop

ANOTHER GREAT COUGARS NITE
well another cougars nite down and many more to come. i have the most wonderful friends and they are such special people in my life. sometimes they annoy you and destroy you but most of the time they love you, support you, hold you and hug you.
for starters i wore a dress!!! OMG yes me wearing a dress. Me who is embarssed about my body and hates it sooo much that I hide it as much as possible. they main deciding factor to do it was that i watched a dvd of me with my god child from about 8yrs ago. there i was hiding in big baggy clothes that was disgusting and i was not that big. i could see my self shame of who i was and i said enough. i took a stand on fri nite and reclaimed me.
i am not saying this will be easy and i know that this will be a very hard fite but o i have fought back from sooo many other things in my life that i know i can finally loosen the chains that bind me and begin to fly.
it is a bit scarey that decision but oh the fun i am going to have whilst the journey is taking place.
so sat became girls day at my house. after a nanny nap for nikkers (2hrs) tish, carla and i set about doing the girlie makeup, hair and outfits and i must say i had fun.
then off to the presentation nite where i was greated with "F" ME you look hot, and "wow look at nikkers" and "she scrubs up well". i went with no expectations and had compliments all nite. then my blast ball babies came running up and hugged me and played with me and that was even more special. see these kids dont care what you look like just if you love them and care for them.
i had the greatest honour of presenting the medals to these babies for blastball and they were so proud of themselves and so were the parents. they were gorgoues and they will always have a medal. they may not remember what the played or how they played but at the age of three they can say i got a medal for a sport!!! how cute!!!
then party time with friends. fun and fun. jez got kicked out of the leauges but at least it wasnt for peeing over the balcony like the incident from last year. onto the goodies where my confidence was high that i actually looked men in the eye and said hello to strangers and smiled at people. instead of looking lost and frightened and worried and on guard, i relaxed and just went with the flow.
i felt confident in me. yes at the pub there was beautiful skinny people there but i am me and i am here. i just enjoyed myself.
the only thing that brought me down and destroyed my nite is that i woke up with a migraine. they seem to be back in force so it is either my neck and pillows or just a seasonal reaction to spring flowers. they started up in townsville and so far are controlable with asprin. hopefully they will stay that way.
time to go and do the routine sunday jobs. but i am enjoying these as they all are catherigic and relaxing for the brain to switch off and relax and just do. washing already done, crock pot lambs chop cass on, dishwasher on and a friend on the way for coffee. can you ask for a better life

Well I have returned to my wee lil house with the overgrown clover ridden lawn and a new dog yapping down the back. Oh how i love barking dogs!! And blown lights. I now have no kitchen light, half a lounge room light, no hall light, no toilet light and a flickering bedroom light (where all my clothes are). So i now have to visit the shops again to buy light bulbs cause the ones i have are the wrong size.
I know that we are all going green but SERIOUSLY!!! Do we have to have confusing light bulbs. There are so many things in this world that are confusing and frustrating like men, sex, food, work, traffic and people that push in-do we really have to throw light bulbs into the mix.
Yes i am having a whinge!!! So now that that is over I will tell you about my most wonderful and excellent holiday. My first week involved a lot of driving to see people i had not seen for a long time. It was great to see my grandma again. It is always sad to see the decline of your loved ones but i live for the statement of NO REGRETS. I (as friends say) laugh like nothing else and that is because I want the world to hear me and see someone who is happy. My grandma is very fragile and I may never see her again but i played her tile game with her, had lunch and just gave her a lil love.
Then onto family at noosa then the gold coast to all the beuatiful people. I loved it. I felt comfortable (bit large) but soooo loved it. I could sooo see myself living on the beach and just walking on it every day or just watching the surf roll in and wash away your pain, your fear and your deepest regrets. So healing and soothing.
The onto the plane to see some very beautiful and special people. It was a bit of a nervous time for us both. All I can say is that it worked. It could have been a disaster or a success. I believe it was the second in a very big way. I feel healed and reconnected to the earth again and i think that they gained some things from me.
I know I got fed soooo well that they had to widen the seats so i could catch the plane back. Spoilt rotton I was and loved every second I had there with every family member.
Gotta go to bed but my words to the people who may read this is no regrets. Laugh, live, be the dream and believe. I love you universe and i thank you for what you have put into my life. It has made me strong and weak, happy and sad, but overall it has made me and I thank you for that.
